The Flame Eater Jarne has a crankshaft mounted on the cylinder. The force of the piston is transmitted via a beam to the crankshaft above. It has a wet cylinder sleeve and can be cooled with water. This flame eater was based on a flame eater by Armin de Vries, who offered a set of cast parts some time ago. The flywheels of this model have a diameter of 140 mm. The combustion engine “Little Karl” is, as the name suggests, the small version of our popular combustion engine Karl. With this kit, particular emphasis was placed on the fact that it can be made in a small hobby workshop with a small lathe. Thanks to its simple construction, this model is also suitable for beginners in technical model making. In contrast to the large stationary engine Karl, this model does not have an ignition with a spark plug but rather a Glow plug. This circumstance makes both the construction of the model and its operation easier because the ignition timing does not need to be adjusted. The Jonas vertical combustion engine was based on the appearance of the early diesel engines that were created at the beginning of the 20th century. A frame that has the shape of an A was typical. The Stirling engine "The Great Laura" is similar in design to a horizontal plank hot air engine from 1910. Our model Rufus is a model of a thermoacoustic Stirling (Lamina Flow Stirling). The construction of the thermoacoustic Stirling engine is very simple. The half-balancing steam engine is a further development of the actual balancing steam engine. The Leni steam engine is a model of a standing steam engine with Stephenson reversal. With its 80 mm flywheel and a total height including the base plate of 185 mm, the model is a good size so that it can also be manufactured in smaller model workshops. This type of steam engine was built from around 1840 until the 20th century. This standing design often found its place in small craft businesses where it powered various tools or generators. The direction of rotation of the steam engine can be changed at any time using the Stephenson reversal. The 2 cylinder steam engine Tobias with Stephenson reversing is an impressive model of a standing 2 cylinder steam engine, as it often was used in steam ships or stationary systems. The Stephenson reversing system can be used to reverse the direction of rotation of the machine by turning the handwheel. The model already runs from 0.5bar. At low speeds, the impressive movements of the steam engine can be observed very well. The movement sequences of the Stephenson control system are particularly impressive. This model is not suitable for entry into steam model construction. Because of the very complex structure, you should first learn the basic principles of the steam engine with a slightly simpler model. As with all material assemblies, all milling parts are finished milled with this kit. The rotating parts are included as a material section and still have to be machined by you. Our eccentric press is a replica of a machine tool that was used many years ago in many craft and craft industries. industrial companies could be seen. Eccentric presses were previously used for punching holes and embossing work. Originally the presses were driven via a transmission. The flywheel and gearbox are constantly running, but the tool is not yet moving. The model has a foot lever that operates a clutch that allows exactly one work cycle. When the foot pedal is pressed, the clutch engages and the tool moves downwards. The stamp punches the hole and then returns to its original position. Here the clutch is automatically disengaged. This crane is a replica based on a real harbor crane from England. The model of this crane is located on the edge of a canal in Driffield, East Yorkshire, Great Britain. This crane used to be used to lift goods from ships and even entire boats out of the water. The original and model have a gear with which the chain could be moved either in rapid motion or slowly with a lot of force. The crane has a brake so that the chain spindle does not unroll itself when a load is hanging on the hook. The brake has an integrated freewheel so that the braking force only works in one direction of rotation. When you crank a load up you don't have to overcome the braking force. The crane is rotated via a second spindle with a worm wheel. All milled parts in the model are made of brass. The intermediate columns and the rotating columns are supplied as free-cutting steel. The brake drum and idler pulley are made of gray cast iron. A round rod made of oak is included for the boom. The model is fully functional when assembled and can lift and hold loads of up to 250 g. With this material kit you can make a blowtorch yourself. The blowtorch is model size and has a total height of 125 mm. The blowtorch is mostly made of brass.
