The drive model of a band saw offered here is an attractive addition to any diorama machine hall and at the same time an appealing functional model for operation with a steam engine, vacuum engine (flame eater), Stirling engine or internal combustion engine.
The band saw is made from a very cleanly manufactured 3D print, with the plastic frame reinforced inside by a stainless steel core. This gives the model a pleasant weight and a high-quality feel. The work table made of 2.5 mm thick stainless steel underlines the solid, high-quality impression.
All wheels run on ball bearings and ensure smooth and even operation. A drive spiral is used as the saw band; therefore, cutting operations as well as injuries are not possible.
The overall appearance is completed by two elegant brass handwheels as well as numerous brass screws, giving the band saw an authentic, classic look.
