Thanks to their square grinding, our machine thread drills are also suitable as hand-held tap drills. You have the choice between through-hole tap drills (blind hole drills) and basic drill tap drills. The through-hole tap is suitable for through holes where the chips can fall out. Taps for through holes have a longer cut but are more stable than basic hole drill. The ground hole drills are ground with a right-hand twist, which causes the chips to be ejected upwards, which is of course an advantage for ground holes. They have a very short cut to cut the thread as far as possible into the bore and to create a thread that is as long as possible. However, it should be noted that the stiffness of the taps is significantly lower in the case of the sizes M2 and M2.5. The taps are made of HSS steel and are suitable for threading in steel, brass, plastics, copper, cast steel, aluminum and stainless steel. If you always use sufficient cutting oil during the thread cutting, the service life of the taps is considerably increased. Particularly when cutting small threads in model construction such as M2, M2,5 or M3, we recommend our round winder. This allows a safe and accurate cutting of threads with a clearly reduced risk that the tapping tool breaks. If you want to drill a core hole but do not have a table book or a thread table, this is no problem. There is a simple rule of thumb for metric control threads. Just take the diameter of the tapping tap times 0.8. Example M5 = 5mm diameter x 0.8 = 4mm core hole drill. DIN 223 cutting dies for the finished, teach-based metric ISO control thread according to DIN 13. The cutting edges have a closed pre-slit form. They can either be clamped in a cutting-edge holder or in the cutting-edge holder for the Bengs model-making machine. The cutting units are made of HSS steel (high-speed working steel). They are suitable for machining brass, copper, steel, stainless steel, silver steel, plastics and cast iron. Lubrication of the cutting tool with cutting oil is absolutely recommended. It increases the service life (life) of the cutting tool and reduces the effort required to make the thread. With this die holder for the lathe you can cut threads very comfortably, accurately and quickly. First, clamp the desired die into the die holder. Then clamp the shaft of the die holder in your drill chuck and guide the tailstock to the workpiece. The lathe is switched to clockwise rotation. The die holder can now be guided to the workpiece. The die holder is held in place by hand with light pressure during the cutting process. When the desired thread length is reached (or the phone rings) simply let go. Now turn the machine to anti-clockwise rotation and the thread is finished. !!! Die not included!!! Die holder type A Length x diameter: 70mm x 30mm Die holder: 16mm x 5mm Suitable for: M2 Material: POM plastic Die holder type B Length x diameter: 70mm x 30mm Die holder: 20mm x 5mm Suitable for: M3 / M4 / M4x0.5 / M5x0.5 Material: POM plastic
These dies for metric fine threads are made from HSS steel. We only supply you with cutting dies and taps of industrial quality, so that you can enjoy your tools for a long time. Fine threads are well suited for use in model making because the threads look more delicate. Bengs Modellbau likes to use fine threads on tank caps, coolant caps, screw connections or adjustment spindles. You can of course also order matching die holder in the Bengs model shop. Please always use cutting oil when using fine thread dies. Industrial quality The following thread cutting dies are always available: Other sizes available at short notice upon request. This mini-round tap wrench is ideally suited for sensitive threading with small taps M 1 - M 3. The round tap wrench is made of break-resistant plastic and has hardened clamping brackets for fixing the tapper. The tool square can be adjusted by means of a knurled adjusting screw. The tap wrench is ideal for small thread diameters in technical model construction. The round winder has a diameter of 50 mm. We from Bengs Modellbau have been using the round tap wrench for many years to cut M2 and M3 threads.
You can choose between two different types of taps, namely hand thread drills (pre-cut and finished cutters) and machine thread drills (incision thread drills). Both the manual thread drills and the machine thread drills have a square cut. Fine threads are very suitable for the use of model making since the threads are much finer and more filigree. However, fine threads are also used in the automotive and pneumatic industries. We only supply taps of industrial quality from a German manufacturer. You can also find matching winds in our shop. With square cut industrial quality Made in Germany The following fine thread taps are always available: 2-thread hand thread drill for fine thread M4x0,5 M5x0,5 M6x0,5 M6x0,75 M7x0,5 M8x0,75 M10x1 1-turn machine thread tap for fine threads M4x0,5 M5x0,5 M6x0,5 M6x0,75 M8x0,75 M8x1 M10x1
The thread gauge is made of steel with precisely milled teeth. You can use the thread gauge to measure both metric and inch threads. It is also suitable for measuring the pitch of external and internal threads. This tool is a great help when restoring old steam engines, vintage cars, clocks or motorbikes.
