Product information "Finger engine "Empire" Material kit"

The finger engine Empire has been specially designed by us so that the material kit can be worked, assembled and painted in less than 6 hours. Therefore, the pedal machine is very good if you want to give a close relative, a good friend or a good model builder a model you have built. Of course, the "Empire" can also build for themselves.

The "Empire" finger engine is a great model for the desk of every technology fan. By moving a finger up and down, we press the pedal and bring the machine to life. The machine is held in motion by actuating the drive pedal. The constant actuation of the finger pedal has a very calming effect on the user. In addition, we recommend using the pedal machine during long telephone conversations to increase the well-being (guess of the designer).

The finger engine is held in the Art Deco style of the 1920s. The finger engine is mounted on a Jatoba base plate The skin wave is ball bearing. Most components of the Empire are made of brass. The flywheel is made of cast steel.

Scope of delivery finger engine "Empire" Material kit

  • Machined wooden base plate
  • Finished milled parts
  • Raw material for the turned parts
  • Very clean 80mm cast flywheel
  • All required screws, ball bearings and maggot screws
  • Planter pedal machine "Empire" Drawings (3 sheets) and construction manual (1 sheet)

Dimensions Pedal machine "Empire" Material set

  • Height with base plate: 130mm
  • Width with base plate: 135mm
  • Flywheel D .: 80mm

Only a few tools are required to build the "Emipre" foot pedal. A small turning machine and a small drill are perfectly adequate. In addition, a gas burner should be provided for softening large parts. M3 and M4 taps and M3 and M4 cutters are also needed. Furthermore, reamers 4H7, 5H7, 6H7 and 10H7, file and a drill set are necessary.

soldering brick
The white soldering brick is ideal as a soldering base for brazing and soldering in model building. The solder seal can be cut as required. In addition, soldering and holding needles can be inserted very easily into the brick in order to fix the component to be soldered. The white tiles have a relatively smooth and plane surface, through which sharp edges several bricks can be assembled seamlessly. To fix components that are to be soldered, you can simply nail into the porous material of the soldering iron. Thus, a soldering device can be produced very quickly. The soldering bricks are also suitable for the construction of a melting point. By assembling several soldering bricks, one can produce an excellent soldering place in which the gas flame of the burner can be optimally utilized. Dimensions of the brazier: 220mm x 110mm x 30mm

High temperature soft solder
High temperature soft solder with a melting point of 250 ° C is suitable for fittings, pipelines and components on steam engines, Stirling engines and flame eaters. The soft solder is filled with a flux that burns without residue when flame brazing (flux residues must be removed in the case of piston soldering !!!). If you need additional flux, you can use normal soft solder flux. Due to the increased melting point of 250 °, it is a good alternative to brazing. However, the high-temperature softening braze can not replace brazing. This product should not be used in the vicinity of the boiler. The use of silver solder is recommended. Wire diameter: 1mm Wire length: 1000mm This product is unleashed !!!

Blow torch material kit
With this material kit you can make a blowtorch yourself. The blowtorch is model size and has a total height of 125 mm. The blowtorch is mostly made of brass. The handle and the handwheel for adjusting the flame size are made from the included oak wood. The finished blowtorch also works in the model just like an original blowtorch. You can use the torch for brazing, soft soldering, paint stripping and for operating glow tube igniter engines. Of course, this beautiful blowtorch is also suitable for the model making display case just to look at. A blowtorch is a gas burner that was originally powered by gasoline or spirit. The blowtorch is not only used for soldering but also as a heating lamp for preheating glow-head engines. An alcohol-powered blowtorch does not start by itself but must be preheated. Due to the complicated handling, spirit and gasoline-powered blowtorches were replaced in the 1970s by blowtorches with butane as a fuel. The alcohol-powered blowtorch remains a fascinating tool to this day.  All milled parts and all stamped parts (tank base and tank cap) are included in the kit ready-made. All turned parts are included in the delivery as raw material. Of course, as with all other Bengs model building material kits, you will also receive all the necessary sealing elements, screws and fiberglass wicks. A 0.38 mm drill is required to build this kit. The drill is also included in the kit. Soft soldering paste
Soft soldering paste for brass, copper, steel and silver steel. The paste is applied thinly to the parts to be tinned and heated with a brazing lamp. For large-area soft soldering, it is optimal to tin- the parts beforehand. For example, we use the paste to pre-tine the cylinder and the mirror when constructing a model steam engine. The tinning paste can also be used optimally as a flux substitute. The soft soldering paste is excellently suitable as corrosion protection for steel parts. Bengs Modellbau uses the zinc paste for steel cylinders with a cooling water jacket. For example in the Flammenfresser Kurfürst. Stirring the paste before use is not necessary! The soft soldering paste may be diluted with water.
