The soft copper tube is suitable for all applications in steam model making and for technical model making. The Cu pipe is also suitable for gasoline lines or diesel lines for motorcycles, tractors and vintage cars. The copper tube is very malleable and can be easily bent into narrow radii by hand. Our soft copper pipes are delivered in a ring and are 1000mm long. If you need a 3m long copper pipe in one piece, simply order 3m copper pipe in the desired diameter. In order to keep your waste as low as possible, we always deliver the pipes in one piece in the length you ordered. Matching compression fittings can also be found in our shop.
If you order several meters of a CU pipe diameter, we will always send you the copper pipe in one piece.
The following CU tubes and copper tubes in a ring are available:

This tube is a hydraulic cylinder tube. The inside of the tube is very dimensionally stable and wear-resistant. The cylinder tube is suitable as a cylinder sleeve for an internal combustion engine or flame eater. We also use this cylinder tube in our models. We use it for the combustion engine Karl, Stirling engine "Big Laura" and the Flame Eater Jarne. Due to its high wear resistance, the tube has proven itself as a cylinder sleeve for us.

Brass Ms58 flat material is a very good machinable material. Brass is probably the most widely used material in technical modeling. Which is certainly due to the fact that it can be worked very well. It can be milled, turned, drilled, brazed and softened. Many Stirling engines, steam engines and flame eaters in technical model construction are mainly made of MS58 brass. You can order brass flat material in different thicknesses from 2mm to 6mm here at the Bengs Modellbau Shop.
Flat Material Brass Quality: Ms 58 (drilling and turning quality)
Flat material 50mm wide
Cast iron with lamellar graphite. The surface is peeled on the gray cast iron bars. The round bars are a little over-sized. You can also make a 30mm piston with a 30mm diameter. The material is suitable both for the production of pistons or cylindrical sleeves for model-built motors as well as for the production of plain bearing bushes. We use this material for the pistons at the station "Karl". The round material can be perfectly machined on the lathe and on the milling machine and has excellent running characteristics.
All round bars are 300mm long.
This graphite round material is excellent for making pistons for flame emitters and Stirling engines. A graphite piston does not need to be lubricated since it is self-lubricating. The graphite and material can be machined as well as a porous plastic. Another area of application of graphite is the production of high temperature resistant gaskets. Mainly, however, the material is used for self-lubricating the bearings in the model or mechanical engineering. However, the mechanical strength is not as high as for example in bronze.
Very good turning and milling properties.
Tolerances of Graphite Round Bars Diameter 0 / + 0.2mm
Graphite round material can still be used for the following applications:
Graphite as a material for self-lubricating bearings
For the production of high temperature resistant seals
For the production of molds
Graphite is used as a carbon brush in electric motors
The following dimensions are available:
Graphite round material 15mm round material 16mm long
Graphite round material 20mm diameter 21mm long
Graphite round material 25mm diameter 26mm long
Graphite round material 30mm diameter 31mm long
Graphite round material 40mm diameter 41mm long
Graphite round material 50mm diameter 49mm long
If you order two or more graphite pieces of a diameter, you get only one cut.
(e.g., 2x 20mm diameter 21mm long = 1 piece x 42mm)
The brass pipe made of Ms63 can be used for all applications in technical model construction. For example as a fuel line for combustion engines, Rehling for model ships, cooling water line for Stirling engines or steam line in steam plants. If you want to bend the brass pipe, it is recommended to glow the piece of the brass pipe to be bent softly. After the cold it bends very well. However, the pipe has lost a lot of strength at the softened point.
The brass pipe is delivered as a straight cut.

Brass Ms58 is a very good machinable material. Another advantage of brass is that it is rust-free. It is suitable for turning, milling, drilling and tapping. In addition, it can be well brazed with silver brazing and soldering. These characteristics are very much in line with the technical model builder. Most steam engines, Stirling engines and flame eaters in model making are largely made of MS58 brass. We offer you here in the Bengs Modellbau Shop brass round material in the diameter from 1mm to 50mm.

Aluminum round material AlCuMgPb 300mm longAluminum round material AlCuMgPb (drilling and turning quality). This aluminum is ideally suited for use in model building. It is relatively cheap, it can be easily chipped and worked, it does not rust and is very light compared to stainless steel. This aluminum is very good machinable and suitable for turning, milling, drilling and tapping. Even after processing, it can be processed very well. You can paint it very easily, powder coating, polishing with Autosol but also sandblasting. You have the choice between different diameters.
From us you can buy free-cutting steel round material in 300 mm length. We use this material in various models, for example for the crankshaft of the four-cylinder engine “Marc”. The round material can be easily machined on the lathe and on the milling machine. The variants 16mm, 20mm, 30mm and 40mm diameters are currently available. The free-cutting steel round bars are 300mm long.
