Modellbauschrauben

Als Modellbauschrauben werden Schrauben bezeichnet die spezial für den vorbildgetreuen technischen Modellbau hergestellt werden. Im Vergleich zur Sechskantkopfschrauben DIN 933 hat die Modellbauschraube und auch die Modellbaumutter einen höheren und von der Schlüsselweite kleineren Kopf. Eine M2 Modellbauschraube hat eine Schlüsselweite von 3mm (DIN 933 SW=4) eine M3 Modellbauschrauben hat 4mm Schlüsselweite (DIN 933 SW=5,5). In der Zeit als die Dampfmaschinen noch überall in Industrie und Handwerk eingesetzt wurden waren Schrauben noch nicht genormt.
