If you want to seal a tank with gasoline in or similar materials, we recommend Viton O-Rings, as these sealing rings are petrol-proof. Vulkan fever sealing rings are used in pneumatics, but are also very suitable for use in technical model making.
Shaft seals are suitable for sealing shaft breakthroughs, for example in gearboxes or engines. We have these Simmerringe in particularly small diameters. Grafi-Sil Valve balls are heat-resistant up to 800°C (short-term) and are ideal for the exhaust valves of flame eaters. Since they are elastic in contrast to steel balls, the Grafi-Sil valve balls always seal 100%. Grubless screws are mostly used to attach components such as flywheels, cam disks, eccentrics or adjusting rings to an axle. There is a conical tip at the front end of this DIN 914 set screw. In order to secure against rotation with these grub screws, the shaft must have a small drill hole. Alternatively, you can also use a grub screw with a DIN916 ring cutting edge. From us you can buy free-cutting steel round material in 300 mm length. We use this material in various models, for example for the crankshaft of the four-cylinder engine “Marc”. The round material can be easily machined on the lathe and on the milling machine. The variants 16mm, 20mm, 30mm and 40mm diameters are currently available. This is the flywheel we use for our Jonas combustion engine. The flywheels are manufactured using the lost wax casting process. The advantage of this casting process is that the casting has a very high quality and dimensional accuracy. Voids and hard spots are excluded with the lost wax casting process. The flywheel has a raw diameter of 202mm. The sprues are already sanded. The flywheel is cleaned and sandblasted. It is suitable for use both as a flywheel on a model building machine and as a wheel tire for a cannon or carriage. The flywheel is available in two versions. The first variant is unmachined and needs to be finished by you on your lathe. The second variant is completely finished.
