Brass Ms58 is a very good machinable material. Another advantage of brass is that it is rust-free. It is suitable for turning, milling, drilling and tapping. In addition, it can be well brazed with silver brazing and soldering. These characteristics are very much in line with the technical model builder. Most steam engines, Stirling engines and flame eaters in model making are largely made of MS58 brass. High temperature soft solder

High temperature soft solder with a melting point of 250 ° C is suitable for fittings, pipelines and components on steam engines, Stirling engines and flame eaters. The soft solder is filled with a flux that burns without residue when flame brazing (flux residues must be removed in the case of piston soldering !!!). If you need additional flux, you can use normal soft solder flux. Due to the increased melting point of 250 °, it is a good alternative to brazing. However, the high-temperature softening braze can not replace brazing. This product should not be used in the vicinity of the boiler. The use of silver solder is recommended.
