Product information "Small burner with height adjustment Material set"
All materials, screws and accessories required to build the burner are included in the kit. All milled parts are prepared to such an extent that they only need to be deburred and possibly drilled.
To build the burner, a small lathe and a small drill as well as a gas burner for soldering larger parts are required. Furthermore, hand tools are necessary, which should be in every “steam engine workshop”.
This burner material kit is specifically designed for Stirling and Flame Eaters. The special thing about this Benner is that it can be adjusted in height. The height from base to wick can be adjusted from 38mm to 50mm. In vacuum motors, the position of the burner plays a crucial role and the speed can be controlled with the flame position.

Small burner dimensions

  • Height overall: 42mm-55mm
  • Length with handwheel: 41mm
  • Width with base plate: 55mm
  • Height wick: 37mm-50mm

Flame eater oil
The Flame eater oil from Bengs Modellbau is particularly suitable for lubricating the pistons and cylinders of flame-eaters in technical model construction. The flame-eater oil is an oil, based on white oil. It is liquid as water, odorless and biodegradable. Another important advantage of our Flame-eater oil for use in technical model construction is that it does not attack paints and varnishes. When the flame eater or parts of the flame eater exceed the temperatures of 150 ° C, the flame-eater evaporates and produces a beautiful white smoke. The oil we offer is normally used in the aircraft RC model building as smoke oil.   Many oils leave behind residues in the hot vacuum engine, which cause the piston to run smoothly in the cylinder. Likewise, when lubricating with graphite powder, deposits of graphite dust are produced over time, which lead to the piston becoming dull. These residues must be removed from time to time. For a long time we asked ourselves:   Which oil is best used for a flame eater or vacuum motor? And here is finally the solution! Flame eater oil from Bengs Modellbau. With the oil from Bengs Modellbau you do not have the described disadvantages and also the following advantages:   Flame eater oil is liquid like water   Odor neutral biodegradable It does not attack lacquers Best suited for technical modeling Made in Germany No dangerous good according to UN, IMO, ADR / RID, IATA / ICAO. Contains: 100ml   E-mail of a satisfied customer: I have today the Flammenfresseröl from you for my Stirlingmotor tried. Until now, I have oiled the model engines with WD 40. But the oil of you is a show! The high speeds I got with it are not comparable with WD 40. And all without residue and no hardening. Simply super! Best regards Video Flame eater oil

glass fiber wick
The glass fiber wick is 1000mm long. The advantage with fiberglass Wick is that they usually do not need to be burnt and rarely need to be replaced. We use the fiberglass Wick in the burners for our flame eaters and Stirling engines. The wicks burn with spirits, lamp oil or wax. However, in the case of the technical model construction for the driving of the Flame eaters or Stirling engines, only alcohol should be used, since the alcohol does not soot. We exclusively use this glass fiber Wick in our models. You can also use this glass fiber Wick as a spare part for our kits. Of course, the glass fiber cores are also suitable for garden torches or capillary irrigation of your flowers. The following glass fiber wick are available: 3mm Wick diameter 4mm Wick diameter 6mm Wick diameter 8mm Wick diameter The glass fiber cores distributed by us are not coated with chemicals and contain no chemicals.

Ball bearings for model construction
You will find in our shop ball bearings made of steel in different sizes. All ball bearings are offered in the ZZ variant. The double-sided sheet metal disc with gap seal keeps dirt out and guarantees a good smooth running. The ball bearings are very well suited for technical modeling. We use the miniature ball bearings for flame eaters, steam engines and Stirling engines as they are particularly easy to move. Most of the offered ball bearings have a small cross-section to keep the installation dimension as low as possible.   The following ball bearings are available:   Inner diameter   outer diameter width ball bearings 63 ZZ 3mm 6mm 2,5mm ball bearings 106 ZZ 6mm 10mm 3mm ball bearings 688 ZZ 8mm 16mm 5mm ball bearings 6700 ZZ 10mm 15mm 4mm ball bearings 61800 ZZ 10mm 19mm 5mm

High temperature soft solder
High temperature soft solder with a melting point of 250 ° C is suitable for fittings, pipelines and components on steam engines, Stirling engines and flame eaters. The soft solder is filled with a flux that burns without residue when flame brazing (flux residues must be removed in the case of piston soldering !!!). If you need additional flux, you can use normal soft solder flux. Due to the increased melting point of 250 °, it is a good alternative to brazing. However, the high-temperature softening braze can not replace brazing. This product should not be used in the vicinity of the boiler. The use of silver solder is recommended. Wire diameter: 1mm Wire length: 1000mm This product is unleashed !!!
