The 1mm silver braided bars are easy to carry with the hand and can be easily melted with small burners. For larger parts we prefer the 1.5 mm silver solder bars. High temperature soft solder with a melting point of 250 ° C is suitable for fittings, pipelines and components on steam engines, Stirling engines and flame eaters. The soft solder is filled with a flux that burns without residue when flame brazing (flux residues must be removed in the case of piston soldering !!!). If you need additional flux, you can use normal soft solder flux. Due to the increased melting point of 250 °, it is a good alternative to brazing.
