Product information "Gas solder CFH Diamond M50"

The CFH Gas Solderer Diamant M50 is a small soldering torch with a very fine and pointed flame. The torch is suitable for soft soldering directly with the flame, as well as for brazing smaller components with oursilver brazing. You can adjust the size of the flame using the gas valve. You can use another adjustment wheel to set a sharp flame for high temperatures and a soft flame for lower temperatures. The gas soldering iron is ignited via a piezo ignition.

Even larger components can be easily soft-soldered with this gas soldering tool. The integrated piezo ignition and the stable base are particularly pleasant. This small burner is therefore ideal for the workbench in technical model making. Whether for soft soldering parts, showing off or removing screw glue. The burner can be held or placed both horizontally and vertically, the flame always remains clean.

With the CFH Gas Solderer Diamond M50 you can also braze components. We also use the gas soldering gun in our workshop to braze small, delicate parts. However, once the components reach a certain size, the heat of the flame is no longer sufficient. So if you plan to solder larger components, use theSoldering Master PZ5000.

Technical data CFH gas soldering diamond M50

  • Dimensions: approx. W 100 x H 140 x D 70 mm
  • Flame temperature: 1300 °C
  • Working temperature: 650 °C
  • Working time with one filling: approx. 90 minutes
  • Clean flame when used horizontally and vertically

The CFH Gas Solderer Diamant M50 has a sturdy aluminum tank. The valve for adjusting the flame size can be easily operated with one hand. To operate the piezo, press the button to adjust the flame size. In addition, with this soldering torch, the air supply to the flame and thus the sharpness of the flame can be adjusted.

Tip
high-alloyed silver solder 1mm / 1,5mm
We have silver braided bars with a silver content of 55% (L-Ag55) with a length of 500mm. Because of the relatively low melting point of this silver braze, the model builder in the field of technical model building is almost exclusively concerned. The working temperature of this hard solder is 630 ° C. The silver as an alloying component in the solder does not only reduce the working temperature, but also improves the flow properties. Furthermore, silver has the positive property of combining well with other metals. For brazing brass and steel, silver solder flux is essential. The low working temperature of the silver solder bars allows the thermal load to be as low as possible for the processed material. It is important not to heat the workpieces too much, especially in the case of brass. In combination with our silver solder flux you achieve with these silver solder always optimal results. The silver braided bars can be purchased from us in the shop in 2 different diameters. For fine soldering as it often happens in technical model construction we recommend the 1mm rods. The 1mm silver braided bars are easy to carry with the hand and can be easily melted with small burners. For larger parts we prefer the 1.5 mm silver solder bars. With these rods you get faster material to the soldering point if needed. What can be brazed? The following materials can be combined with silver solder: brass, copper, gunmetal, gray cast iron, rusting steels and stainless steel. A combination of the materials among each other is easily possible with this silver braze solder. If the material is not known to you, it is always recommended to solder a piece to the sample beforehand. This allows you to determine whether the materials can be combined with the silver braze.Instructions Brazing with silver solder If you have never worked on silver solder and you are not sure how the exact solder brazing procedure is with silver solder, we can help you before you buy the silver solder. We have created a guide for you in our Bengs Modellbaumagazin on the topic "Brazing with silver solder". Here you can find out what you need and have to consider if you want to solder 2 components with silver solder. Tip: Flux residues and discoloration of the material can be optimally eliminated with our satin brushes or abrasive fleece!Characteristics of the silver solder bars500 mm long. 1mm or 1.5mm diameter Silver solder bars L-Ag55 (55% silver) Working temperature 630 ° C Bengs Modellbau has used this silver solder bars for years.

Flux for silver solder
When brazing, fluxes have the task of loosening and removing the oxide layers present on the soldering surfaces and preventing them from forming again during soldering. The flux is adjusted to the working temperature of our Silver hard solder matched. Before use, the flux for silver solder should be stirred well. Using the brush in the bottle, a thin layer can be applied to the component to be soldered. You can find detailed instructions in our model making magazine (Hard soldering with silver solder instructions). If the silver brazing flux has dried out, you can make it liquid again with distilled water. Brazing with silver solder rods without flux is not possible. When the flux is heated with the burner, the water it contains first evaporates. This can be seen in the final formation of small bubbles. When the component is heated further with the flux and the working temperature is reached, the flux paste begins to melt and becomes transparent. Now the moment has come where the silver solder can be added. The effective range of the flux for silver solder is between 500°C and 800°C. The flux is suitable for brazing copper, brass, gunmetal, steel and stainless steel. Tip: Flux residues and discoloration of the material can be optimally removed with our Satin brushes or remove with abrasive fleece. You can get the flux for silver solder from us in the packaging sizes: 50g. Bottle with brush 100g.Bottle without brush

soldering brick
The white soldering brick is ideal as a soldering base for brazing and soldering in model building. The solder seal can be cut as required. In addition, soldering and holding needles can be inserted very easily into the brick in order to fix the component to be soldered. The white tiles have a relatively smooth and plane surface, through which sharp edges several bricks can be assembled seamlessly. To fix components that are to be soldered, you can simply nail into the porous material of the soldering iron. Thus, a soldering device can be produced very quickly. The soldering bricks are also suitable for the construction of a melting point. By assembling several soldering bricks, one can produce an excellent soldering place in which the gas flame of the burner can be optimally utilized. Dimensions of the brazier: 220mm x 110mm x 30mm
