If the Woodcarver ever becomes blunt, that's no problem, it can be re-sharpened relatively easily. Since the Kaindl carving cutter is made of plasma nitrided, carbonized steel and has a hardness of 62 Rockwell, it cannot be sharpened with a conventional file like a chainsaw, for example.
