DIN 223 cutting dies for the finished, teach-based metric ISO control thread according to DIN 13. The cutting edges have a closed pre-slit form. They can either be clamped in a cutting-edge holder or in the cutting-edge holder for the Bengs model-making machine. The cutting units are made of HSS steel (high-speed working steel). They are suitable for machining brass, copper, steel, stainless steel, silver steel, plastics and cast iron. Lubrication of the cutting tool with cutting oil is absolutely recommended. It increases the service life (life) of the cutting tool and reduces the effort required to make the thread.

Die holder for lathe
With this die holder for the lathe you can cut threads very comfortably, accurately and quickly. First, clamp the desired die into the die holder. Then clamp the shaft of the die holder in your drill chuck and guide the tailstock to the workpiece. The lathe is switched to clockwise rotation. The die holder can now be guided to the workpiece. The die holder is held in place by hand with light pressure during the cutting process. When the desired thread length is reached (or the phone rings) simply let go. Now turn the machine to anti-clockwise rotation and the thread is finished. !!! Die not included!!! These dies for metric fine threads are made from HSS steel. We only supply you with cutting dies and taps of industrial quality, so that you can enjoy your tools for a long time. Bengs Modellbau likes to use fine threads on tank caps, coolant caps, screw connections or adjustment spindles. You can of course also order matching die holder in the Bengs model shop.
