Beam engine Sophie

The beam engine 'Sophie' is a steam engine, as it was first used at the time of industrialization. This model is equipped with the jaw once parallelogram, which is used for a straight piston rod guide. The balance bar connected to the feed water can be made operational. All the necessary parts (material & Pe: Sil valve balls) are included. The model machine is already running about 0.3 to 0.5 bar and elegant. Especially at low revs, the beam engine is a special feast for the eyes. In addition, the ideal 'Sophie' quite well as cabinets or desk model. 

All the construction of the beam engine 'Sophie' necessary materials, screws and accessories are included in the kit. All milled parts are so well prepared that they only need to be trimmed and perhaps even bored.

The construction of the beam engine is a rotary machine (min. Opti D180 x 300), a small drill press and a large gas burner parts for soldering required. Furthermore, even hand tools, which should be in every "steam engine workshop (Taps M2, M3, M4, cutting iron M2, M3, Reamer 3H7, 4H7, 6H7) files and a drill bit needed.
